Interesting background by Adobe’s John Nack about the use of application frames in the new Creative Suite, or why you’d want to have a single application window. I like his comment on the bottom of the page about gray interfaces helping out designs. Not sure if I like the application frame as a standard per se though.
Nack goes at length to show examples that application frames are supposedly more wide spread on the Mac than is the common conception. For me, going full screen like in the Adobe apps is a very nice feature; apps like Apple’s Final Cut could use this behaviour.
